Guys, there is a red pixel stuck on my rift. The stuck pixel is not a total deal-breaker, but it was my greatest fear after reading the Reddit reports, and I can't believe how unlucky I am to have one right near the middle of the right eye's field of view Sending it back for replacement is not a very attractive option for me because I live in Costa Rica and shipping plus import taxes (they charge you even if it's a warranty exchange or a gift) would take a while and cost quite a bit. What's your experience fixing stuck pixels on the Rift LCD? What settings do you recommend (e.g. The stuck pixel clearly looks blue, and if it were dust I don't see how it would be able to make something look blue if the background is black. I've seen tiny specks of dust on other places of the screen and they just look gray when displaying a black background. No matter what I do, it's always a tiny blue speck, which I suppose is the blue subpixel on one of the pixels. I really think it's a stuck pixel, since I tried blowing air at it, tapping it with a plastic tip, and rubbing it gently with a Lenspen ( ). If it does turn out to be dead pixels, contact and we may be able to help. You can also try to fix it yourself like with this: So please, wipe the screen with a microfiber cloth, or use a can of compressed air. We've had that happen a few times where people thought it was dead pixels and it turnout out to be dust.
